Serapi rugs are a high-quality rug that is woven in the district in the village of Serab, located in the Heriz district.
Serapi is a trade name given to better quality and older Heriz rugs and is a distinctive type of Heriz rug. The difference can be seen on the underside of the rug: the Heriz rug has a bumpy feel; the Serapi underside is finer and less busy.
