Description
Kurdish groups traditionally populated the eastern edge of Turkey, northern Iraq, western Persia, and small areas near Persia’s eastern borders.
From the graphic style and the fine fleece to the beautiful colors and iconic patterns, Kurdish rugs have innumerable traits that make them highly desirable.
Older Kurdish rugs will often feature Kurdish medallion patterns and all-over floral or geometric designs referred to by collectors as “Jaff.” Modern Kurdish rugs are more tribal in nature, and instead of a traditional classic red rug, modern Kurdish rugs feature many more colors.
