The 2020 Color of the Year
In our business, a curious phenomenon takes place with the turning of each new year. As the clock turns to midnight and calendars are replaced on the walls, another subtle change begins. It’s perceptible only if you’re aware of it, showing itself in our clothes, our furniture, and, what is most obvious to us, in our rugs. It’s the announcement of the Pantone Color of the Year.
The Pantone Color Institute, a leading voice in color trends and design, unveils its unique annual hue every year, and at least for us, that color is almost without fail indicative of the rugs we will be selling for the next 365 days. This year they released a beautiful shade of blue meant to resemble the depth of the sky at dusk, humbly called Classic Blue. The result? Deep blue rugs have become some of our most popular sale items.
As we gear up for next year’s color release, there are still many examples of this gorgeous blue in our inventory, and before we move on we wanted to share with you some of our own fabulous rugs that contain them. Take a look at our Classic Blue collection! (Click on the pictures for a link to the product in our online catalog)
